Mom’s Blonde Brownies

Ingredients

1/2 cup Butter

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup White Sugar

1 Egg room temperature

! tsp. Vanilla

1 +1/4 cup Flour

1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 cup Chocolate chips ( or Butterscotch or white or a combination with nuts to make 1 cup)

In your stand mixer cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Blend into creamed mixture.

Stir in chocolate(and nuts).

Spread into a greased 9 x 9  pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool before icing.
